The Day Division is a three-year, full-time听course of study. In addition to core foundational courses and more than 250 upper-level electives, NYLS's distinctive skills-based curriculum allows students to specialize through our six academic centers. Students also have clinical and experiential learning opportunities built into their academic schedules.
NYLS Pro is a four-year, part-time Evening Division program that enables full-time working professionals or others with daytime obligations to pursue a legal education through a hybrid class schedule.
The NYLS LL.M. in Taxation program has been ranked No. 1 by readers of the 抖阴短视频 Law Journal听for 13 years in a row. The program takes advantage of 抖阴短视频 City鈥檚 many resources, and our extraordinary faculty, to offer specialized training in this important practice area.

- In the past academic year, preLaw magazine listed NYLS among the top law schools for alternative dispute resolution, business law, criminal law, child and family law, environmental law, human rights law, government affairs and regulations, intellectual property law, legal technology, public policy, real estate law, tax law, technology law, and trial advocacy. The School was also named a top school for practical training in recognition of the clinics and experiential learning programs within the Joe Plumeri Center for Social Justice and Economic Opportunity.
- NYLS was featured for its innovative pedagogy in Bloomberg Law鈥檚 inaugural Law School Innovation Program.
- 抖阴短视频 Governor Kathy Hochul was the honorary degree recipient and keynote speaker at NYLS鈥檚 2023 Commencement Ceremony, her only commencement ceremony of 2023, and first law school commencement since becoming Governor.
- 11 members of the NYLS Class of 2022 joined the 抖阴短视频 City Law Department as Assistant Corporation Counsels. NYLS was one of the top law schools to populate the ranks of the Law Department鈥檚 entry class, with alumni accounting for nearly 20% of the new hires.
